CONNOPPO Gala Dinner 2026

Our first gala event in 2022 funded a new building for a kindergarten in the village of  Kekirawa in Sri Lanka, in partnership with Kinderhilfe Kekirawa e.V. Our president, Marco, attended the opening ceremony in 2023 and saw first-hand the difference the building was already making for the children.

During his visit, Marco met mothers who were using their spare time at the kindergarten to learn basic sewing skills. Their equipment was limited and the lessons were informal, but the women valued the opportunity to learn and wanted the chance to earn an income from their work.

That inspired this year’s project. We want to help a group of the mothers develop their sewing skills and establish an artisanal textile studio that can become a self-sustaining business.
